About us

National Scouting Association is an independent commercial structure, whose primary focus is to follow junior prospects of various ages and provide pro and junior hockey clubs, Russian Ice Hockey Federation, and other national and international hockey organizations with the necessary information for building junior, senior and national teams.
  
The Association provides scouting coverage in Russia, CIS countries, Baltic states, Eastern, Northern, Central and Western Europe, as well as in North America through its own scouting network.

Association President - Evgeniy Zimin, two-time Olympic Champion, multiple champion of Europe and the USSR and participant of those legendary 1972 series USSR-Canada.

The association is governed by the following bodies:

  • General meeting of shareholders (the supreme executive body of the Association);
  • Scouting board (joint governing body that manages scouting activity);
  • Board of directors (executive body which deals with technical information and legal support of the Association); 
The company staff includes Russian and foreign scouts with long employment record in hockey clubs and leagues all over the world. 


Some of the NSA activities include:

  • Managing and directing scouts in Russia, CIS countries, Baltic states, Europe and North America;
  • Providing complete scouting coverage of junior players (16 - 20 years) in Russia, Europe and North America;
  • Compiling KHL draft rating lists of junior players to be used by hockey clubs - members of the KHL;
  • Collaboration with Russian national teams coaching staff to provide scouting data on candidates to junior (U-16, U-17, U-18 and U-20) national teams;
  • Pro-scouting in Russia and abroad.
